Annual General Meeting on 21 October 2021
A Notice of Meeting for The Chartered Governance Institute’s (the Institute) 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be distributed by each of the Institute’s nine Divisions in the week of 20 September 2021.
The virtual AGM will commence at 08:00 am British Summer Time on Thursday 21 October 2021
As a result of continuing travel restrictions, and to provide the opportunity for members from all Divisions to attend, the Institute’s Council has decided that this year’s AGM will be held as a virtual event.
The Notice of Meeting from your Division will include instructions on how you can register your account to access the AGM site, appoint a proxy in case you cannot attend the meeting, submit questions in advance and log into the meeting at the appropriate time. If you have not received the Notice of Meeting from your Division, then please contact them directly.
The items of business for the meeting this year are to receive and consider the Report of the Council on the business of the Institute for the year ended 30 June 2021 and to receive the comprehensive financial statements of the Institute for the year ended 30 June 2021.
From the tabs on the right you will find the full Notice of Meeting, proxy form, Council Report and the comprehensive financial statements. You can appoint a proxy online before the meeting or you can return your proxy directly to your local Division or to the Institute Secretary.
As this year’s AGM will be held virtually, voting and participation on the day of the meeting will be provided on a complimentary basis via the AGM@Convene portal. You can access the portal here. Instructions on how to access the meeting can also be found in the tab on the right.
I encourage all members to join the meeting, participate and vote. The Institute’s Council recommends that you vote in favour of the items to be put before the AGM. If you cannot participate in the virtual meeting, then I encourage you to lodge your proxy beforehand.
I do hope you can join us for the 2021 AGM.
